I had to do it for my motorbike driving license. I took part at a 8 hours first aid course and they've shown me all the basics so that now i can help someone in trouble. :)
Not only is it good to have face to face conversations - the act of getting up from your desk and walking to the adjacent cubicle is good for your health. You can always follow up with an email to document a conversation and this way you can check that you understand and iron out any issues rather than setting them in electronic format for all history...
Not only smiling can be heard on the phone but other actions as well. When I worked in Japan we would bow when on the phone... people could tell if you were actually bowing on the phone, honest. So smiling and sitting up makes the person you are talking to feel they are important - its good customer service and is like a random act of kindness that they might not even realize.
I love to buy things at the second hand shops, like books or cds. It's cheaper and I like to think about the past of the objects. My boyfriend also buy second hand videogames.
I definately think this should be changed from use a biro to use a fountain pen. There are enough throw-away things in our life not to encourage the use of disposables.
i enjoy being the SAMRTEST PERSON in THE ROOM so i constantly challenge my teachers with questions that are soooo advanced it hurts...
EXAMPLE1: "sir, true or false did england ever have a revolution? and who caused it"
EXAMPLE2: " sir exactly what is the ligamentus Arteriousus?"
EXAMPLE3: " sir could you translate this latin for me?"
